- IR100 Introduction to International Relations
This course offers an introduction to contemporary analysis of international relations. Students will learn major theories of international relations and apply them to understand international situations and issues in the modern world. Emphases are on clearly comprehending the relationship between international conflicts and cooperation and on recognizing the shift from internationalization‖ to globalization‖. Extensive use of internet information, articles from professional journals and newspaper will enable students to update information about imminent international issues today and to think about them critically.
- PY113 Biological Basis of Behavior
This course will cover the underlying biological basis of human behavior including Brain and Glands. It is designed to be an introductory course focusing on the relationship between the nervous system, structure and function of brain, glandular system and human behavior as well as implications of glands and nervous system in psychiatric disorders.
- HU223- Introduction To Human Rights & Citizenship
This particular course deals with good citizenship values and human rights components. Although the course does not strictly or necessarily fall under the category of English curriculum and syllabi, the contents/ topics designed for this course must be studied and used by the teachers of English language and literature to offer a comparative study with the textbooks they use for their classes.

This course will introduce students to the discipline of Sociology, its perspective, basic concepts and principles, methods of analysis and major sub-fields. Through this introduction it is expected that students will begin to think in ways that take into account the social realm of thought, including the impact of social forces, social constraints, and social structure on an individual's thoughts and behaviors

This course will familiarize students with a variety of personality theories, their history, and applications. It considers theories that address personality development and implications for normal and abnormal development. The course enables to explore research questions such as stability of personality over time and situations, cultural differences in personality, and personality measurement.

The course will provide with a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge regarding the ethical code of conduct in Psychology. It is designed to give an in depth understanding of Ethical guidelines devised by APA and other international bodies for Psychologists, both for researchers and professionals.
Social Psychology is to give awareness of certain fundamental concepts and principals involved in human behavior. It provides an awareness of the major problems and issues in the discipline of social psychology, and the capacity to interpret research findings. To accomplish this goal, this course emphasizes the understanding and interpretation of research findings and an ability to evaluate their usefulness.
- PY-234 Psychopharmacology
This course surveys basic neuropharmacology, the effects of various psychotropic drugs, and the actions of drugs used to treat mental disorders. This course will provide understanding how classes of drugs alter behaviors. This course is designed to provide a foundation for advanced study in behavioral neuroscience, neuro-psychopharmacology, physiological psychology, and related areas and to provide an introduction to the pharmacological treatment of mental disorders for clinical students. Students will be able to learn and use scientific terminology to describe information in the field of psychopharmacology. Moreover, the students will be able to understand the functions of prevalent psychiatry in hospitalized and non-hospitalized settings.

The course will provide students insight about the major developmental mile stones and stages of development. This course will enable students to think critically about the developmental issues such as parenting styles, identity crisis, family& culture. It would also help develop an understanding of Developmental theories and their application in the Pakistani cultural context.

The objective of this course is to provide students ‘knowledge about test construction, types and purpose of psychological testing, psychometric properties of psychological tests. The course is to enable students understand rational, administration, scoring and interpretation of psychological tests.

Psychological Assessment Lab course typically focuses on providing students with practical experience in administering, scoring, and interpreting various psychological assessment tools. This course aims to familiarize students with a variety of assessment instruments used in clinical, educational, and organizational settings. - PY321 Qualitative Research & Group Research
The course familiarizes students with major concepts of qualitative research methodology i.e. from generating research idea to data collection, analysis and interpretation of findings. The course aims to develop scientific reasoning and understanding of link between theory and empirical investigation.
- HU-123 Introduction to Geography
This course is an introduction to the planet Earth, basic concepts and fundamental phenomena of geography. It focuses on the ways through which all places on Earth are interconnected and how the human beings interact with each other and with the Earth. This course shall also equip the students to learn how to use the tools the geography. The Remote Sensing and GIS concepts and preparation of maps using these techniques shall be a handy addition to the skills of students upon successful completion.

This course provides an understanding of the mental processes involved in cognition, perception, attention, memory, thinking, language and reasoning processes. The core focus will be on how information is received, perceived, filtered, stored, retrieved and conveyed and it will provide an understanding of the mental processes through which information is acquired, processed and conveyed.

- PY-425 Case Reports & Practicum
The course will give practical orientation to report writing of clinical cases, along with formulation and evaluation of case histories. The students will be taught the basic components of case reports. Based on theoretical understanding of the case reports, students will develop the case reports of clinical cases taken during internship. The case reports will encompass symptoms, signs, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of individual clients. Students will summarize the types and number of cases they had at internship site, along with the treatment modalities they utilized The students will be engaged to present the internship clinical cases in case conferences.
- PY-426 Statistics in Psychology & SPSS
The statistical analysis is an essential part of psychological research and students need to have a grasp over the concepts, theoretical rational to use certain statistical analysis and also to learn the procedure to carry out these analyses. This course is designed to enhance their competence in using SPSS for data processing, entry, analysis and interpretation of output files and also to select and report analysis in form of table and be able to interpret the findings.

This course examines the methodology and content of Industrial and Organizational
Psychology (I/O). This is a branch of psychology that examines people at the workplace and
all the factors that affect individual’s behavior at work. The course provides an overview of
individual, group, and organizational issues that enhance the understanding of the world of
business or organizations and research findings involved in the study of how people behave,
think about, influence, and interact with each other at work, with an emphasis on factors that
affect job performance.

A Counseling Psychology course covers a wide range of topics. This course introduces students to the theory and practice of psychotherapy, marriage, and family therapy, and professional clinical counseling. This course focuses on theories, principles, and methods of a variety of psychotherapeutic orientations related to group counseling.

The course is oriented to the social-biological origins and dynamics of psychopathology in adults and children including developmental disorders. This course is designed to provide students an introduction to the latest edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders to facilitate development of the basic mechanics of making psychological diagnoses. Additionally, this course will provide students an overview of presumed etiology of various psychological disorders. This information is crucial to helping clinicians recognize and appreciate how psychopathology may develop, is maintained, and responds to treatment. Recognizing variables associated with the onset and maintenance of psychological disorders may also help students differentiate amongst various psychological disorders.
- PY 620- Psycho Diagnostic Assessment of Children
This course aims to introduce students to the principles and practice of psychological assessment. The course will focus on a small number of widely used norm-referenced tests of intellectual ability, work aptitudes, personality, vocational interests, attitudes and values, and how these tests are used individually and in combination as part of psychological assessment. Students will become familiar with the strengths, limitations, interpretation and presentation of findings from a variety of assessment instruments and will learn skills in both assessment planning and report writing. Students will learn about the ethical and social implications of assessment in a variety of contexts including socially and linguistically diverse populations. Opportunities for practice administration of assessment tools will be provided.

- PY-640- Neurophysiology & Pharmacology
The course will look at the workings of the brain, with particular focus on understanding aspects of brain function that are of particular importance to psychology. Consequently, this course focuses on the link between neuroscience and psychological functioning. This course will examine how the internal and external environments act upon the brain to produce perceptions, control body functions, and generate behavior. Basic principles of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology will be discussed to develop an understanding of how these biological factors underlie human brain function.

This course offers "An overview of research methodology including basic concepts employed in quantitative and qualitative research methods. This course introduces and discusses approaches, strategies, and data collection methods relating to research in social sciences. Students will learn how to collect data based on different data collection methods, construct these tools, and pilot them before they become ready for use. Finally, this course elucidates the requirements for an academic work, considering aspects related to language, writing style, and lay-out. To culminate this final stage, students will learn to write a comprehensive research proposal that may be conducted in the future.
