AU welcomed a delegation from National Defence University Kenya on August 24, 2022. The delegation consisted of Lieutenant General J M Mwangi -VC NDU-Kenya, Major General R Elim- VC Academic Affairs, Mr. Charles O Ogalo Ph.D.- Council member, Colonel (Dr) James Kimuyu- head of strategic studies, the center of security and strategic studies, Captain P Ndungu- Aide –De-campus (6 members). The delegation was welcomed by AU Registrar, Director Academics, Dean Graduate Studies, Director ICO, Dean FASSS, and Dean FCAI. The two main common disciplines discussed between NDU-Kenya and Air University were Aerospace Strategic Studies and Information Technology. The main purpose of the meeting was to persuade the Kenyan delegation to collaborate with AU. The potential collaboration opportunities stated were

  • Online collaboration in research/ teaching. (Students/faculty exchanges)
  • Incubation centers collaborate, and explore funding opportunities in Kenya, Pakistan, and other agencies. (MS PROGRAMS FASS/FCAI)
  • Joint seminars and webinars. (Ph.D. programs FCAI)

The meeting enriched a healthy relationship NDU Kenya and AU Pakistan to strengthen the intellectual bases of both universities and make the global outlook of both universities better.
