The United Nations General Assembly declared in 1999 that the World Space Week (WSW) will be held each year from October 4-10. The event always aims at educating people around the world about space and encouraging greater participation in astronomical fields. The Air University Astronomical Society organized this event in Air University on Monday - 10th October, 2022. Around 300 students overall attended the event.
The topic for the session was Space Sustainability, the session was attended by graced respected Chief Guest: Mr. Ammar Jaffri, DG Center of Information Technology Pakistan, CEO of IOT center Pakistan, Mr. Imtiaz Rastgar is a serial entrepreneur and the founder and chairman of Rastgar Engineering Company, distinguished speakers, faculty, management and students. Students learned about the diversifying options in this stream from speakers from the field and had an interactive and good productive session.
